Yin Yang Yoga Class
The Yin Restorative Yoga Class is a very meditative, relaxing class which incorporates Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and breath work (pranayama) to balance and calm your body and mind as well as reduce stress and anxiety and improve sleep.
We move slowly and focus on maybe 10 different poses for the entire 75 minute class, enabling you to turn inward, and focus on the breath and calm your mind and nervous system.
Benefits of Yin Restorative Yoga Class
Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. Yin yoga targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body – rather than the muscles (which are the physical focus of Yang yoga practices). Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits.

We finish the class with Restorative poses using bolsters, blocks and blankets to support the body in seated forward folds, gentle twists and back bends, allowing you to completely relax and restore. The class ends with a blissful Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) which will leave you feeling amazing.
In winter the room is warmed for comfort & in summer it is cooled for comfort.
